Animals never fail to amaze us with their loyalty and affection. Recently, a heartwarming incident surfaced from India where a dog protected her two puppies during floods. Despite the increasing water currents, the devoted mother carried her little ones in her snout, ensuring their safety. The emotional images, captured by Agence France-Presse photojournalist Sanjay Kanoja, have gone viral and touched the hearts of many.

The videos depict a scene where a mother leads her offspring to a dry spot in Allahabad as the water level increases due to the Ganges and Yamuna rivers. One must keep in mind that the massive rainfall in the country has resulted in the unfortunate deaths of more than 400 people, and approximately 700,000 individuals have been forced to evacuate their homes.

The presence of harmful substances in drinking water sources and unsanitary conditions are causing concern about potential disease outbreaks. As a response to this issue, health workers have been sent to various towns to keep an eye on the situation. In addition to this, a dog recently saved a family from a devastating landslide by alerting them in the middle of the night. This event took place in Kerala, a state in southern India that was heavily impacted by floods.

Mohanan P. and his loved ones were taking a break in their residence located in the mountainous region of Idukki when their canine companion started to howl at around 03:00 a.m. (18:30 in Chile). “We sensed that something was amiss, I went to check, and we had to evacuate immediately,” Mohanan P. shared with India’s NDTV. Just as they stepped out of the house, a landslide occurred and devastated their abode.
